How the Program Works
All of the course content is available online. Registered students use their passwords to retrieve the lessons from anywhere they have Internet access. Courses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be used in place of off-site training.

Course work is provided by Ballard & Tighe’s partner, the Professional Development Institute (PDI Inc.) To support all course participants, instructors are online everyday Monday through Friday and often on the weekends as well. Troubleshooting, feedback, and constant support are available throughout the course.

Courses are self-paced. You can begin as soon as you register. You must complete all online course assignments by August 27th in order to receive credit for the course. Please note that if you complete your course prior to August 27th, we will immediately process your paperwork so that you are able to meet any district or state deadlines.

Successful completion of each course earns either one (15 hours) or three (45 hours) units of semester academic credit from Chapman University. We offer participating students two options — a letter of completion from PDI that may be submitted to your school or district for the purpose of salary advancement, or University credit through Chapman University at an additional cost of $70 per unit. This fee does not have to be paid until you are just about to finish the course.
